Steven Goomas holds the degrees of an M.A. in Composition, a B.A. in Piano and Theory, a California State Teaching Credential and an A.A. in Fine Arts. He is an accomplished composer and a B.M.I. writer and publisher in which he produces and arranges music that is used for films, popular television shows and commercials worldwide. Steve has recorded thirty-six CDs to date with Sonoton, APM, 5 Alarm Music and Abaco Music in a variety of styles including Pop, R&B, Rock, Metal, Country, Jazz, Classical, Funk, Rap, Latin, and different ethnic genera. As a keyboardist, he has had the pleasure to work, record or tour with several artists such as Donna Summer, Deniece Williams, Macy Gray, Carole King, Donald O'Connor, Carol Lawrence, The Four Tops, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Mary Wells, Crystal Lewis, Steve Taylor, and is still actively performing as a "working musician." Steve has also taught music in the California educational systems at primary, secondary and college levels. Currently, Steve instructs recording arts classes at Harbor Junior College. He regularly works at home in his L.A. recording studio on various CD projects with local artists. As an instructor he has had the awesome privilege to meet piano students throughout the United States while being a musical director for Maranatha in their Worship Leader Workshop seminars. As MD, he leads clinics in keyboard and synthesizer techniques, arranging and rhythm section playing. These clinics have been ongoing for several years and have been heavily supported by the Roland Corporation for their keyboards. Steve has recently completed his book Keyboard Wisdom with an accompanying CD. The book is published by Mel Bay and A Goom Tune.
